Meet Abi, the Artist and Owner of Fragile Art

First, thank you very much for visiting Fragile Art's website!

My name is Abi Daly and I am the artist behind Fragile Art. After finishing my degree and working in another career for my adult life so far, I have decided to follow my childhood dreams and start my own fine art and photography business. As a small business owner, I really appreciate your interest in Fragile Art and my original artworks.

What is Fragile Art?

Fragile Art is a small UK business producing a wide range of original artwork and giclee prints featuring various mediums and subjects such as acrylic paint, watercolour, fine liner, black and white drawings, inspirational typography, detailed realism pieces in coloured pencil, biro artworks, abstract paint designs, and much more. In addition to original artwork, Fragile Art will soon also be home to Fragile Photography where you can purchase any of my original photos.

Where did Fragile Art come from?

I chose the name ‘Fragile Art’ when I was about 13 years old, and I wanted a company name to put on the back of my handmade card for a family member. For as long as I can remember, I have always been passionate about art and the wide potential of the subject, making it impossible for me to choose a favourite medium or subject. Unfortunately, when I was at school, art and creative subjects were viewed differently and I was encouraged to pursue academic careers instead, so art was never presented as a possibility for me. After completing my psychology degree and working in educational mental health for eleven years, I finally believed in myself enough to pursue what I wanted out of life. I quit my stable job, and I am now starting this business adventure so that I can follow my dreams as a full-time artist. As I launch my website, I feel like I am living my dream already. Thank you for being here and for your interest – it means more than you will ever know.

I want to leave you with this final thought: Whatever ambitions you have, whatever 'what ifs' you ask yourself, it all starts with believing you can and taking a step of action, no matter how small. I am following my dreams; follow yours.
